The movie Syriana is a hard hitting political drama that looks closer at the oil industry and the very real games that are played out to keep the United States of America supplied with oil. Stephen Gaghan is the edgy director of the award winning film about the drug industry, "Traffic".

The film tells several stories from different angles and weaves them together to create a snap shot of the oil industry. It is an uncomfortable look at the money, power, and greed that keeps the wheels of business rolling.

George Clooney received a Golden Globe Award and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in Syriana.

  To be perfectly honest, I have never liked George Clooney as an actor. As far as I was concerned he was just eye candy. But after watching Syriana I have seen another side of George!
  I was told by a friend that Syriana was crap, but I'm so glad I didnt listen to her. Those that like Oceans 11 and 12 may not like this one, but those that are open to the world will enjoy the Syriana movie.
