Clooney's Pet Pig Dies (continued) ..
George Clooney
got Max the pig after breaking up with his girlfriend at the
time (Kelly Preston), about 18 years ago.
George's
father Nick Clooney recently said "When we first
saw Max, he was a cute little Vietnamese potbellied pig. Those
who fostered the adoption neglected to tell George that Max
would one day be the size of a linebacker with an appetite to
match." Max went on to weigh up to 300 pounds.
Clooney told USA Today that "He was as old a pig as
the vets had ever seen. I was really surprised, because he's
been a big part of my life"
His porky friend lived a long and fruitful life, but in old
age he was suffering with arthritis and suffered from partial
blindness.
Max the pig died on the 1st of December while his father was
promoting his latest movie with the Australian actress Cate
Blanchett, "The Good German".
Clooney had referred to Max the pig as being his longest relationship.
George Clooney also lost his pet bulldog Bud earlier this year.
"It has been a bad year for my pets. I had a bulldog
that died this year, too. It's strange how animals become a
big part of your family. They really become a big issue with
you".
